On Sunday November 23rd the Detachment marched in the 44th annual Haverhill Santa Parade.
An estimated 30,000 residents came out on a brisk November Sunday afternoon to watch the 44th annual Haverhill Santa Parade.
The detachment Color Guard fell out in great form. Detachment Commandant, Richard Broadnax marched in the position of the right rifleman. Carrying the United States Flag was Marine Gene Boudreaut flanked by Marine Tom Rudden carrying the Marine Corps Colors. Marine Dave Tuttle marched in the position of the Left Rifleman. Marine Gerry Santelli provided forward reconnaissance along with a contingent of Korean War Veterans from their retired military truck traveling ahead of the color guard.
The Marine Corps League Detachment Color Guard stepped off at 1:00 from the Firehouse at the Hunking School. Marching north on Main Street through Bradford and up into Haverhill. Passing the reviewing stand at Monument Square they headed down Kenoza avenue and completed the parade march at the Lorraine Post 29 VFW.
